A GIANT THANK YOU TO FOR DOING THE LINEART FOR ME! You did a wonderful job following my sketch, thank you for volunteering to do work for my lazy ass.
I RP! LOTS. ;w; It's okay to bother me! I'll get to bothering people myself when I'm done winding down a bit, haha. I mostly RP through note/Skype. o<o I will be honest I do /not/ understand how tumblr RP works, though if somebody wants to explain that to me I'm all ears. Annnd if there is ever RP in the chat I'll DEFINITELY join in there.
Edit: Updated the app after the last round! Riley is now an NPC! Also, Cora evolved, and Vera the hydreigon was added to the team. =v=
Name: Riley Fade Age: 20 (Birthday: Sept. 18th) History: Riley lived in a household with more siblings than her parents could really keep track of. This was fine, of course, but after a while the lot of them started getting into trouble, Riley included. As soon as she was old enough to live on her own (in her parents eyes, anyway. Perhaps a bit too young in reality) they kicked her butt right out the door with a bag and a wave.
Granted, they didn't leave her completely helpless. In many ways it was sort of just growing up a bit fast. Her father, and a couple of older brothers, taught her what she needed to survive. Basic necessities and the like...some hunting, fishing. Basic medicinal things. Her mother even gave Riley her old ivysaur, Gertrude, though she wasn't going to be around forever. Sometimes if she happens to be hunting in that area she'll drop on home with a catch and share it. She's not bitter about it, but she has learned from the experience that crowds tend to be a bad thing. So Riley set off to live on her own. There, she met her first outside pokemon (Adler) and continued on. When she managed to gather enough money to afford it, she would rent rooms for a night, especially for the winter. Riley's skill is in odd jobs, but most nights she likes to spend out in the trees. Currently she's debating the pros and cons of getting herself a treehouse...pros being she likes the trees, and cons being that it would be difficult to get Conrad inside.
At some point she met a thief man named Zekryn ((*dat-derp-nene, will link to app when he is finished)). So far he is about the closest thing she has to a friend. The difficulty is, she didn't realize exactly who he was, what he was, or where he was from when they were befriended. With the war going on, she's found herself turning a blind eye to anything that he might do, and it will probably get her in the end.
Though if anybody were to ask her about it, she'd mention that he's the ONLY one of the opposite faction that she'd ever trust. He treats his Pokemon well, after all. Cora, the eevee, was even given to her by him after a previous team member, Gertrude the Ivysaur, passed away due to old age.
Since the last update, Riley has made friends with Cholet, the mage (belonging to ~b0409d) and has moved in with Zekryn, as well as recieved the gloom that had been her brother's newest team member as an oddish before he passed away.
Personality: Riley is known to be the surly sort. She's quicker to snap than she is to offer a hand, but that's at the offset. If she gets to know you, she'll loosen up a bit and give you shit forever. Riley is not without humor (though sometimes it does lean towards the violent humor). There are many things Riley doesn't take kindly too (things such as womanizers, for example. Though Zekryn is the only one to get away with this for lord knows what reason). Her favorite activity by far is socializing and grumbling at people in taverns with a pint of ale whenever she can get a hold of it.
Quick side note: She speaks with very accented speech, like she sounds uneducated speech)
Oh, and if you're the type to abuse your pokemon, don't let her near you. She won't care what side you're on; instead Riley will simply see you as a waste of good air and if she gets the opportunity she will find a way to make you pay for it.
She is also rather fond of the crossbow. She's not so good with weapons, especially blade combat, but with a crossbow she has a relatively good time with it. Other than that, she keeps a few hunting knives on her person that she will bring out in a tight spot. What she really prides herself on though, is her bar fights. ...She has fun with them what can I say? Slamming a fist into an idiot is just so satisfying.
Cora, the Vaporeon - The newest member to the team, Cora was a stray in an alley that Zekryn found shortly after Riley lost a team member (Gertrude, an ivysaur that had belonged to her mother. It was old age, nothing tragic) and promptly brought right to her. Cora is a very determined creature, eager learn as much as she can...and stomp on as many heads to do so. In many ways, the eevee is a little shit but Riley loves her all the same. As of round two, she has transformed into a vaporeon, most likely during the escape from thief they got into a brutal fight with, to help protect Riley as she was healing.
Adler, the Pidgeot - A very proud pokemon, Adler was Riley's first companion as a pidgey years ago (the first one she got on her own that is). Since then he's grown far more than Riley could have predicted, and his behavior has gotten less easy for her to manage. He does love Riley, though. Even if he will promptly roll in dirt after he's cleaned, or any other numerous ways he can think of to make Riley's life just that more difficult.
Conrad the Steelix - The largest member of the group by far, Conrad prefers to stay within caves if Riley has nothing urgent for him to attend to. He's always a pidgeot flight away though. Conrad is probably the most obedient out of the three of them...perhaps because despite his size, he is also rather young (originally he was the youngest, until Cora came along). Much to Riley's dismay though...he is a sucker for attention, and actually has the personality of an eager dog (which is horrifying. Riley has to dodge the eager headbutt of love whenever she returns home from being out on her own. And he likes to greet people enthusiastically. But he is an steelix. This is BAD). Before joining the team, Conrad had been lying at the bottom of a cave after an accident. She managed to nurse him back to health and he has stayed by her side ever since. Conrad evolved during the race, as Riley preferred he evolve instead of shatter against her opponent at the time.
Briar the Gloom - Briar belonged to Riley's older brother (...one of them), before he passed away during a border skirmish. Her sister delivered him to her, knowing that Riley had made strides to join a guild, and figured Briar would find a good home with her. ...Riley doesn't like that Briar drools, and doesn't really like that Briar reminds her of her brother (the same one that got injured that became the reason as to why she joined the rangers), but she does take good care of him.
Vera the Hydreigon - Vera was a stray dragon in the moor. At one point while she had been separated from Zekryn as he had gone to get medical supplies mid-raid. Riley was alone in the forest, listening for anything, when she heard a crashing noise. She got up, in quite a bit of pain from the fight again Inuko, when she saw a hydreigon. At first she mistook it for Zekryn's dragon Mags...she had been injured, mistaken for a thief's pokemon when in fact she had been a stray, and Riley ended up taking care of her until Zekryn got back. It was lucky he managed to bring enough medical supplies to treat the both of them, and just enough for serious injuries on her team. Vera is motherly-seeming at first, not necessarily shy, but quiet and obviously intelligent. ...And she'll do just about anything to keep her new ranger and teammates from too much harm.
Awwwww~! x3 I think this is the first time I've actually seen an OC with an Onix (especially an attention whore Onix). Riley sounds like such a badass.
QnQ Awww~! If he wasn't 20 feet long, I'd totally pet the giant rock puppy, but alas, he's just too big!
Boy, do I know a lot about that. x3 Whenever I create a character, they seem to always have an aura of toughness/haughtiness/badassery, with a super squishy center inside.
